You can upload both modern smartphone pictures and scanned old photos. If you are taking the photo specifically for this purpose, we recommend photographing outdoors on an overcast day or in indirect window light.

That is often not a problem. Our painter Michael specialises in recreating and enhancing even worn, black-and-white or low-resolution photos. Many of our most beautiful memorial paintings are based on photos from the 1970s or older.

With very poor quality, we can sometimes suggest small adjustments - for example, adding colour to black-and-white photos or sharpening facial features. Send us the photo beforehand and we will give an honest assessment before you order.

We offer 5 hand-assembled frame styles that suit most homes:

The hand-painting process takes the time it takes - we cannot push genuine oil paint through faster without it showing in the quality. 2 weeks is the minimum.

If you have an absolute deadline (e.g. a milestone birthday or wedding anniversary), please contact us first. We will look at our calendar and confirm whether we can make it.

Because your painting is made to your specifications, there is no statutory right of withdrawal under Swiss law (CO) - instead, our voluntary 30-day satisfaction guarantee applies, in addition to your statutory warranty. If you are not satisfied, you return the painting at your own expense, and we repaint it or refund you.

• We repaint it - 100% free. Describe what you want changed, and Michael makes a new version. You send the original painting back to us at your own expense, and we send the new one to you at no cost.
• You get your money back - you send the painting back to us at your own expense. Once we have received it undamaged, we refund the full amount for the painting and framing.

Yes. Our gift card for a personal painting is the perfect gift if you would like to let the recipient choose the size, motif and photo themselves. The gift card is available in different values and is valid for 2 years from the date of purchase.

You receive a beautiful physical gift card in an envelope to hand over, or a digital gift card to send by email.
