Most of us dream of having a famous masterpiece in the living room, but for the vast majority of us buying the original is simply not realistic. So if you are looking for genuine works of art, it can help to set a budget for how much money you are willing to spend.
At Fotoalsgemälde.ch we have a transparent price for you to go by, unless you want your painting to be larger or smaller than our recommended sizes. The price is one fixed price per size - from 495 CHF (60x40 cm) to 1,095 CHF (100x70 cm) - and the floating frame and shipping are always included. This applies whether we are painting from a photo with a personal subject or a well-known motif or work that you would like.
Many of the great painters of our time used oil paint for their paintings. One of the most famous works in the world, the "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci, is also painted in oils.
Once you have decided to invest in a painting, it is naturally essential to work out which style you like. At Fotoalsgemälde.ch we are specialists in making paintings from photos. So whether it is a personal photo of your mother or a copy of an already famous painting by, say, Picasso, Monet or van Gogh, we can handle the job. One third of all the paintings we make are reproductions of well-known works, where our customers like the idea of having a faithful copy of a valuable painting hanging in the living room. Here we have described what you need to be aware of when it comes to reproductions.
The downside of ordering your artwork from Fotoalsgemälde.ch is of course that you have not seen the finished result before you place your order. That can understandably give rise to doubt and scepticism, which we will not try to talk away. We simply hope that you will give us the benefit of the doubt, just as so many of our customers have done.
We make paintings and artworks to order - which is exactly what our concept describes. That also means we cannot do the "puppy trick", as we call it, when galleries offer to let you take a given painting home to hang before you decide whether to buy it. The idea is that in 95% of cases you will keep it, just as you would a puppy. The advantage of Fotoalsgemälde.ch is that the price and the quality are easy to understand.
If you do not want a reproduction but something completely different, we encourage you to seek inspiration in museums, galleries or online. There are plenty of options if you look around a little. A good painting is thought through and carefully worked.
