Cookies

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser so that the website can recognise your device on your next visit. Cookies are not programs, cannot contain viruses and cannot read other data on your device. Practically all websites use them - some are necessary for the site to work at all, others are used for statistics and marketing.

Your consent decides everything

On your first visit to Fotoalsgemälde.ch, you choose in the cookie banner which categories of cookies you want to allow. Only necessary cookies are set without consent. You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time via the banner ("Manage preferences"), which you can reopen from the bottom of the page.

How we use cookies

Necessary

Technical cookies that make the website work - for example, your cart, your choices in the configurator and the secure completion of purchases. Without them, the shop does not work.

Statistics

We use Google Analytics for anonymised statistics on how our visitors use the site - which pages are visited and for how long. This helps us improve the experience. You can opt out of Google Analytics here: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Marketing

We advertise via Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and their cookies help measure our ads and show you relevant ads rather than random ones. The processing by these third parties is their responsibility - you can read more and opt out of interest-based advertising at youronlinechoices.com.

Service reminders

If you add items to your cart without completing your purchase, we may send you an email reminder about the items you left behind.

How to delete or block cookies

You can delete existing cookies or block new ones at any time in your browser settings - search for "cookies" in the settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, or follow the guide at allaboutcookies.org. Please note that if you block all cookies, parts of Fotoalsgemälde.ch - such as the cart - may stop working.

Personal data and complaints

You can read about how we otherwise process your personal data - and all your rights under the FADP (Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection) and the GDPR - in our privacy policy. If you wish to complain about our use of cookies or data, please contact us first at hallo@fotoalsgemaelde.ch - you can also always complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
